The SI Financial Group Foundation, Inc. was established in 2005 by SI Financial Group, Inc., the parent company of the Savings Institute Bank & Trust Co. in Willimantic , CT. It is the mission of the Foundation to provide funding to support charitable causes within the Bank's market areas and its neighboring communities that are designed to improve the quality of life within those communities. Priorities for funding include community development, housing assistance, scholarships, local education, not-for-profit medical facilities, not-for-profit community groups, cultural organizations and similar types of organizations or projects
